Terms

Written to be read. If anything here is unclear, ask and we will explain it rather than pointing at a clause.

What you are buying

A named page is the exclusive right to publish one note at that address for the dates you paid for. A homepage date is the exclusive right to decide what lovenote.page displays on that calendar date.

You are buying a publishing slot, not the domain name itself and not any permanent right to it. When the window ends, the address returns to the pool.

Your wallet

Money added to your wallet is held so you can bid and buy. It stays yours until you spend it.

While you are the leading bidder on an auction, that amount is reserved and cannot be spent elsewhere. It is released as soon as you are outbid, and taken when you win.

Wallet balances do not expire and do not earn interest.

Bidding

Bids are binding offers. If you win, the amount is taken from your wallet and the page is yours.

A bid placed in the last two minutes extends the auction by two minutes, up to a limit.

We may cancel an auction and refund all bidders if there is a genuine fault — a pricing error or a technical failure. We will say which.

Reselling

If you hold a homepage date you may list it for sale to another user. We take 15% of the sale price; the rest is credited to you.

Named page bookings are not resellable.

What you may publish

Your own words, and images you have the right to use.

Not: anything unlawful; anything that harasses, threatens or exposes a private individual; anything that impersonates a real person or organisation; sexual content involving anyone under 18; or anything designed to deceive people into parting with money or credentials.

We may remove a page that breaks these rules. If we do so wrongly, you may have the page reinstated or your money back.

Refunds

Unspent wallet funds can be refunded to the original payment method on request.

A page you have already published for a date that has passed is not refundable.

If we cannot deliver a page you paid for, you get your money back.

Ending your account

You can close your account at any time. Any unspent balance is returned.

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or that is the subject of a payment dispute.

Liability

LoveNote is provided as it is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Where the law allows us to limit liability, our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
